The Brief:
To supply kids rucksacks, aprons and paint sets – for use in a national campaign for Friendship week. Quantities 250,000 sets.
Product suitability and safety for young children, extremely tight lead time, UK warehouse for additional kitting and distribution.
The Sourcing Team managed to make critical time and costs savings for the client on this project – saving the client £30,000.
The Solution
We worked closely with all parties in this project including the UK fulfillment house. The Sourcing Team arranged part fulfillment and consolidation in China - along with careful scheduling of shipments in manageable volumes into the UK warehouse.
By understanding the overall project our recommendation was to pack so that the outer carton was easily opened, UK printed literature inserted into the bags, zip close bags without having to remove them from the cartons and reseal box. By doing this we save huge amounts of time and money and ensured the client could deliver this project from start to finish in just 9 weeks!
We worked very closely with The Sourcing Team on Disney Take Home Packs. They were able to provide us with take home goody kits within a short delivery time direct from the Far East, within our budget and most critically our deadline. They offered advice and guidance from the initial enquiry throughout the project and made us feel totally comfortable by keeping us informed at all times.
