Q: What made you decide to set up your own business?
A: The opportunity to own my own salon arose so I took up the challenge at 23 years old. 20 years on and here I am!
Q: What do you like about running your own business?
A: The freedom and flexibility – I have two children, who make life busy too. I am lucky to have reliable staff – and I never take that for granted.
Q: How do you keep yourself motivated in tough times?
A: Tougher times make me more determined to succeed – chin up and carry on!
Q: Top tip for continued success in business?
A: Always be yourself and treat others how you would wish to be treated.
Q: Can you buy from 16 women owned businesses in 2016 and share the challenge?
A: Yes and I already do, through my beautician and friend’s jewellery and clothing business…supporting both throughout each year.
