Merry Christmas from The Sourcing Team – we are donating a sum to Trees for Cities in lieu of Christmas Cards in keeping with our sustainability programme. It has been an amazing year at The Sourcing Team! So a huge thank you for your continued business and support. We want to take this opportunity to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a healthy, happy & successful 2014!
Office Closure:
The Sourcing Team offices will close for Christmas and New Year from Tuesday 24th December 5pm until Friday 27th December and also on the 1st January 2014.
We have a skeleton staff in the office on Monday 23rd, Tuesday 24th, Monday 30th and Tuesday 31st December, should you wish to contact us. We re-open on Thursday 2nd January 2014 for business as usual.
We wanted to share some of our charitable activities this year which included our huge “Pink & Green” campaign supporting Macmillan Cancer Support, promoting Promotional Product Week whilst raising money for charity – find details here. We also supported One Life (www.onelifeuk.org ) again this year along with The Commonwealth Countries League Education Fund(CCLEF – www.cclef.org ) which helps fund education for girls where for economic reasons this would not be possible.
And in keeping with our work in sustainability this year in lieu of Christmas cards, we are donating a sum to Trees for Cities – www.treesforcities.org do visit the site for more information on how this organisation is trying to reverse the decline in urban trees.
We had two new recruits this year – Charlotte Gale – Account Executive and Shaun Whittle – Order Processing supporting our buying team, additionally, Becky Fleury our Senior Account Director had her little baby boy Jake in September – both doing well!
We have supported WEConnect at their first European Diversity Event in Amsterdam, find details here. And we have continued to be committed to excellence within the business by investing in a large number of team coaching sessions including; sessions in creativity, customer service excellence and sustainability.
Our focus continued on our global collaboration building a collaborative partner in the US/Canada and we have invested a huge amount of time in the area of responsible sourcing attending many workshops, seminars and coaching sessions to ensure we remain on top of the growing demands for safe appropriate promotional products from around the world. We are now also joined to the CIPS Sustainability Index and the EcoVadis CSR Monitoring Platform. With an internal quarterly award to incentivize the team for the most “Green” orders placed.
It has certainly been an eventful year and we look forward to sharing further successes with you throughout 2014.
