A wonderful dinner followed with a record number of attendees. The evening continued with a DJ and of course lots of socialising and networking into the early hours.
At the members meeting they launched the new Advantage logo – a new clean and up to date logo reflecting the true value of The Advantage Buying Group. The meeting had a interesting twist with 2 minute Speed Pitching from 10 key suppliers plus two sets from the director general of the bpma (British Promotional Marketing Association), promoting firstly the new bpma education program and then the innovative Promotional Product Week which is to promote the use promotional products for a week (16th – 21st September) – a wonderful opportunity to shout about the value in using promotional merchandise within your promotional campaigns.
With the growing legislation and product conformity requirements in Europe our guest speaker was from the independent inspection house Intertek who certainly enlighten a number of the distributors on their legal requirements in this area.
The supplier showcase was bigger than ever and buzzing with distributors and suppliers sharing ideas and new products.
Yet another excellently organised, fun and informative event – but what else would we expect from the Advantage Group!
