The Movember fundraising campaign runs every November and involves growing and getting your moustache sponsored. The aim is to help fight prostate and testicular cancer in men and raise general awareness of these awful diseases. It is a world wide campaign and the largest of its kind in the world.
I decided to participate after a friend was diagnosed with prostate cancer earlier in the year and have run a campaign that has raised over £700 so far. Its been a lot of fun and I kept everyone entertained and engaged with a daily picture of me and my tashe through email or Facebook- such as in the attached – and received donations from as far as Australia, Canada and Spain. As anyone who has lived with a potentially life threatening condition knows it’s the support you get from your friends and family that matters as much as the medical help you get from the professionals and the support shown has been outstanding. I offered to dye it pink if the fund went over £300 which it quickly did so watch for The Sourcing Team Pink Tashe on the next blog! Kevin
